Ahhh…..Lavender
Lavender is one of my favorite scents. It is a common ingredient in products that claim relaxation and stress reduction benefits. My lavender bushes are in full bloom right now. I have been cutting fresh blooms to make little bouquets to bring inside and enjoy, as well as drying some to enjoy their scent this winter.

10-15 mint leaves
1 oz lavender simple syrup (1c water+1 c sugar, boiled with 1 TBP dried food grade lavender. Strain and cool.)
1 oz fresh lime juice
15-20 blueberries
1.5 oz white rum (full disclosure: I use 2 oz for a bit more kick)
Club soda
In a tall glass muddle the mint, lavender syrup, lime juice, 15 blueberries and rum. Be careful not to over-muddle. Fill glass with crushed ice and top with club soda.
