The afternoons are getting darker, the wind is blowing and the leaves have begun to fall. It’s time to curl up with your kids and a cozy blanket and read some books!
Something I started when my kids were young was to have a basket with seasonal or holiday books that were rotated throughout the year. When the season or holiday was over I would pack those books away with our decorations, and pull them out again the following year. We would add a new book or two each year with the child’s name and date it was given.
My kids are older now, but still love to look back at the picture books and they read them to their younger cousins.
